As part of an office refurbishment in London, Chalcroft Special Projects Ltd had to find the right partner to install two air conditioning units in a server room for their client.

As they wanted to be insitu within a week, timing of the project was essential. The client Soho Square describes itself as “8 floors and 43,000 sq ft of incredibly cool office space” such prestigious serviced offices deserved a computer cooling system to match.

Once the initial scoping had taken place Major Cooling & Heating Ltd sourced two top of the range DAIKIN units through their strong supplier network. Two Major engineers installed the units, completed the 75m pipe-run and commissioning all well within the deadline.

As with most central London projects, transporting equipment and parking can be problematic but this was resolved by the engineers commuting on a daily basis. This also cut overheads for overnight accommodation, ensuring we gave our clients the most flexible and cost effective solution to their project.

All of this was achieved with minimum disruption and will help maintain a reliable computer system throughout the building.
